      <image:caption>I received my clinical training at the University of Toronto Faculty of Social Work and completed clinical internships at a residential addictions treatment centre and at OCAD University where I went on to work as a mental health counsellor. I have also worked as a crisis responder for Kids Help Phone. I have received specialized training in supporting survivors of sexual violence, newcomers and refugees, and trans and non-binary folks. I have completed additional training in Psychodynamic theory, Somatic Attachment therapy, Mindfulness and Self-Compassion practice, Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, Anti-Oppressive Practice, and Trauma-Informed care.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>I tend to encourage you to share your current emotions, conflicts and challenges (e.g. what came up between sessions) and use these as a jumping off point to explore underlying patterns or sore points in your life. My approach is eclectic and grounded in relational psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness and self-compassion principles, and trauma-informed care. I draw from cognitive behavioural therapy, parts work (IFS) and emotion-focused therapy when appropriate.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>I find that people get the most out of therapy when they take an active process in it, including outside the therapy hour. I also think it is important to remember that therapy doesn’t always feel good or relaxing. It can feel intense and vulnerable, especially at first (I know this first-hand as a client too!) so remember this is normal. The rewards of gaining insight and validation can be incredibly freeing and worth the efforts.</image:caption>
